Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) January Executive Board Meeting was held in TDBB Headquarters in Istanbul on 18 January 2017, Wednesday.
The meeting, under the chairmanship of Deputy President of TDBB Mayor of Murat Aydın, was attended by TDBB Executive Board Members who are Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Burhanettin Kocamaz, Mayor of Beykoz Yücel Çelikbilek, Mayor of Şahinbey Mehmet Tahmazoğlu, Mayor of Keçiören Mustafa Ak, Mayor of Bağcılar Lokman Çağırıcı and Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak.
The meeting started with the briefing of Secretary General Fahri Solak on the present activities between 28 December 2016 – 18 January 2017 and the agenda, and continued with the discussion of the topics on the agenda.
Within this framework support by Union and Union Members to be given to Asphalt Factory planned to be built in Moldova Gagauz Autonomous Region, support given by Altındağ Municipality to the Renewal Project of “Comrat Cultural Center” in Moldova Gagauz Autonomous Region Comrat city through the coordination of TDBB, the organization of TDBB Turkey Member Municipalities Foreign Affairs and/or Cultural/Social Affairs Directors Meeting themed as “Sister City Activities in Municipalities” in Istanbul on 25 January 2017, the organization of Executive Assistants Workshop for TDBB Turkey Member Municipalities Executive Assistants within February, the approval of “2017 UYEM Schedule” prepared by Union and presented to the Members of Executive Board, organization of expert training programs for member countries within the year, start of the necessary preparations for 2016 Annual Report and UYEM Report, and the presentation of the membership applications of Zuunkharaa (Mongolia) Municipality, Tunkhel (Mongolia) Municipality and Aydamun Şekhlar (Lebanon) Municipality to Administrative Board were decided.
