Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) delegation has completed Bosnia and Herzegovina Program organized between 27 and 30 May 2016. The delegation of approximately 150 people who are İbrahim Karaosmanoglu President of TDBB and Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Fahri Solak Secretary General of TDBB, members of Administrative, Supervisory and High Advisory Board of Union and member mayors from 9 different countries (Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) have attended to busy program prepared by Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality and TDBB.

Union of Turkish World Municipalities keeps on supporting activities about our common cultural values. Within the scope of these activities, TDBB supported 506th Ajvatovica Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina between May 6 and 29. Second Day of “TDBB Eurasia Local Authorities Summit” delegates from 11 countries and more than 120 local authorities’ representatives came to Prusac to participate to Ajvatovica closing ceremony.

Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) May Administrative Board Meeting was held on 28 May 2016, hosted by Sarajevo Novi Grad Municipality. In the meeting the activities that took place since the former Administrative Board until recently were evaluated and the future organizations were discussed. After the presentations of TDBB Administrative Board Members on their activities for Turkish World, a briefing was made on TDBB Financial Reports.

Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) hosted Banaadir Governor and Mayor of Capital City Mogadishu Yuusuf Xuseen Jimcaale and accompanying delegation in Headquarter of Union.

Organized every year on May by Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) and also supported by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), 8th Workshop on Communication with the Future was held between 20 and 24 May 2016 in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Country Booths of Turkic Republics Took Part in 8. Book Fair organized with cooperation of Union of Turkish World Municipalities and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.“8. Kocaeli Book Fair” between 14 and 22 May 2016 organized with the aim of bringing together the books, authors and directors of publishing houses and making international presentations of them, was participated.

In the 5th General Congress of UCLG-MEWA (United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section), which was held between 19 and 21 April 2016 with the hosting of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) was elected to Administrative Board Membership.
