Mayor of Palestine Abasan Al-Kabira Abu Zarifa Visited TDBB Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Palestine member Abasan Al-Kabira’s Mayor Dr. Anwar Abu-Zarifa visited TDBB on March 5, 2021. At the meeting held with Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak at the Union’s Headquarters, the cooperation of a sister city relationship between Abasan Al-Kabira Municipality and the municipalities of Turkey and the opportunities for joint projects were evaluated.

The Name of Kazakh Poet “Abay Kunanbayev” was Given to a Street in Zeytinburnu
Within the scope of the project carried out in cooperation with Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Zeytinburnu Municipality and the Kazakhstan Embassy in Ankara, the old station square which was located in the center of Zeytinburnu was named as “Abay Kunanbayev” who is a poet and also considered as the founder of Kazakh written literature, intellectual and politician. The opening ceremony of the Kunanbayev Street and placement of the bust of Abay Kunanbayev was held on 18 March 2021.
