Organized by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and supported by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Kültür A.Ş., “Turkish World Women Artists Istanbul Exhibition” was opened in International Women’s Day on 8 March 2019 in Taksim Art Gallery with the participation of 16 women artists from 9 different countries.

Under the coordination of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), digital X-Ray Machine supplied in cooperation with Pendik Municipality and Zeytinburnu Municipality which are the sister cities of Madan was delivered to Madan District Hospital with a ceremony on 15 March 2019.

Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and sister city Selçuklu Municipality cooperatively supported Beit Hanoun city of Palestine with fuel assistance.

Nevruz Celebration organized in cooperation of Istanbul Governor’s Office, Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), Culture A.Ş., Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and Zeytinburnu Municipality was held on March 21, 2019, at Topkapı Culture Park.

The results of the local elections held on March 31, 2019 for electing local administrators who will serve across Turkey for 5 years to come have been announced. In Turkey that has population of 82 million people, out of 57 million eligible voters 48.3 million of them voted in the elections. Participation rate was 84.67 percent. Out of 1,389 municipalities in Turkey there is 30 metropolitan municipalities, 51 provinces, 922 districts and 386 municipalities.

The pedestal building and Köroğlu statue as the first stage of the International Köroğlu Park planned to be constructed in the Alpagut Neighborhood by the Municipality of Bolu, the member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), was opened on March 20, 2019, with the international participation.
