Special medals prepared for the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Turkish Republics were presented to the owners with ceremony held in TÜRKSOY Headquarters in Ankara. The ones who were presented 25th year medals are Azerbaijan Ankara Ambassador Faig Bagiyrov, Kazakhstan Ankara Ambassador Abzal Saparbekuli, Kyrgyzstan Ankara Ambassador Ibragim Junusov, Uzbekistan Ankara Ambassador Ulfat Kadirov, Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister of Turkey Ahmet Arslan, Republic of Turkey Presidential Chief Advisor Yalçın Topçu and Trt Avaz.

 

The Bereket Convoy, which was founded 12 years ago by the Bayrampaşa Municipality for the first time with the slogan ‘Brotherhood does not have limits’ brought together about 100 thousand Muslims in 9 countries in the Balkans this year at iftar meals.

Keçiören Municipality, sharing the blessings of Ramadan every year in a brother country with an iftar organization, this year organized its Brotherhood Iftar Organization in Kazakhstan’s city of Turkestan, 2017 Turkish World Cultural Capital. Within the framework of the visit Keçiören and Turkestan signed sister city protocol.

Keçiören Municipality, Administrative Board Member of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), organized 8th International Ramadan Events, which are made with the motto of “brotherhood crossing the limits” in Ramadan between 26 May and 18 June 2017 in Keçiören. The events, which took place with the concept of “Keçiören-House of the World”, were attended by 17 countries this year.

Administrative Board Member of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Ümraniye Municipality organized an iftar program on 14 June 2017 in Fojnica city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Member of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Eyüp Municipality organized iftar programs in Gostivar and Tetovo cities of Macedonia. Eyup Mayor Remzi Aydin, Gostivar Mayor Nevzat Bejta, Tetrahim Müfti Kani Nesimi and Gostivar Mufti Shaqir Fetahu, and 5 thousand Bosnians and Albanians from Gostivar and Tetovo participated in the iftars organized this year with the slogan “Brotherhood”.

Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and its Administrative Board Member Bağcılar Municipality cooperatively organized an iftar program in Almaty city of Kazakhstan on 8 June 2017. Brotherhood Meals, prepared cooperatively by Almaty and Almali Municipalities of Kazakhstan which are sister cities of Bağcılar Municipality, gathered almost one thousand guests at the same organization.

The book called “Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ottoman Documents” published by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Administrative Board Member Bagcilar Municipality, was introduced in Sarajevo.
