TDBB Local Governments and Urbanism Special Library was opened
Special Library of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), which consists of mostly books on Local Governments, Municipalism, Urban Management and Urban History, Turkish World, Central Asia, Balkans, Caucasia, History, Culture, International Relations and etc, was put into service for the readers in the private section of Merkezefendi City Library, next to TDBB Headquarters, in cooperation with Zeytinburnu Municipality.

TDBB Supports Doboj Bridge of Friendship in Bosnia and Herzegovina The Cooperation Protocol for the construction of the bridge which will connect Doboj and Doboj Istok cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed in the headquarters of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB). The signature ceremony of “Doboj Bridge of Friendship” was attended by Mayor of Sarajevo Novigrad and TDBB Administrative Board Member Semir Efendiç, Mayor of Doboj Istok Kemal Bretiç, Deputy Mayor of Doboj city Milos Buhevloviç, President of TDBB İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu and TDBB Executive Board Members Burhanettin Kocamaz, Yücel Çelikbilek, Lokman Çağırıcı, Mustafa Ak and Uğur İbrahim Altay.

TDBB August Executive Board Meeting was made in Union Headquarters Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) August Executive Board Meeting was made on Wednesday, 17 August in Istanbul Union Headquarters. The meeting started with the briefing of Secretary General Fahri Solak on the present activities between 27 July-17 August 2016 and the agenda, and continued with the discussion of the topics on the agenda.

Romanian Educators Istanbul Program was Completed Istanbul Program for Educators delegation coming from Romania to Turkey was prepared cooperatively by TIKA and Ministry of National Education and hosted by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB). The group of 24 people consisting of faculty members, teachers and students visited TDBB on 26 August, Friday.

Humanitarian Aid from Turkish Municipalities to Macedonia
On August 6, the flood disaster caused the loss of 22 people and also a great financial damage in Skopje, the capital city of Macedonia and the districts around it. After the disaster many municipalities and institutions in Turkey sent aid materials to Skopje.

Sister City Protocol between Mehmetçik and Stari-Grad Municipalities Member Municipalities of TDBB, Mehmetçik Municipality (TRNC) and Sarajevo Stari-Grad Municipality (Bosnia-Herzegovina) signed sister city protocol. The protocol signing ceremony, organized in Mehmetçik Municipality on August 7 2016, was participated by Mayor of Mehmetçik Cemil Sarıçizmeli, Municipal Council Members, Mayor of Stari-Grad İbrahim Hacibayriç and his delegation group. The sister city protocol was signed by the mayors of both municipalities.

Municipality of Şehzade Supports Sports Hall in Donji Vakuf
Member of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Şehzade Municipality gave financial support for sports hall to its sister city municipality of Donji Vakuf, in cooperation with TDBB. District of Manisa – Şehzade Municipality gave a positive response to the request of assistance for the ongoing construction of the gym in its sister city Donji Vakuf Municipality, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
