The Mahmut Kashgari Barskani Monument, built in cooperation with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Jeti-Ögüz Municipality, and its sister city in Turkey, Bağcılar Municipality, was inaugurated on November 1, 2025, in the Barskon settlement of Issyk-Kul province, Kyrgyzstan. As part of the opening ceremony, the “Mahmut Kashgari Conference,” an exhibition of publications, and various cultural events were held.

The “Specialist Training Program for Preschool Education Administrators of Kyrgyzstan,” organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with the Roza Otunbaeva Foundation of Kyrgyzstan, Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, Başakşehir Municipality, and Istanbul Medeniyet University, was completed with presentations and field visits held in Istanbul on 17–21 November 2025.

The Thirty-Ninth issue of the periodical publication titled Local Agenda in Eurasia, prepared in three languages (Turkish, English, Russian) as the quarterly Activity Bulletin of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), has been published.

The Turkic World 1st Water Workshop, supported by institutions including the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), was organized by Gaye Foundation, Water Foundation, and Academy Foundation, with the participation of many academics and experts from 9 countries, and was held in Afyonkarahisar on 26–28 November 2025.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), and the Turkish Literature Foundation, the “Meeting of Turkic World Writers and Poets in Talas” was held in Talas (Kayseri) between November 1-4, hosted by Talas Municipality, with the participation of 54 poets and writers from 14 countries.

The General Assembly meeting of the Azerbaijan National Union of City Municipalities, a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), was held in Baku on 14 November 2025.

Uzbekistan’s Andijan city, a member of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), has been selected as the “2026 Turkic World Capital of Culture.” The city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, located on the Caspian Sea coast and holding the title of “Turkic World Capital of Culture” throughout 2025, handed over this title to Uzbekistan’s Andijan during the gala concert and closing ceremony held on 28 November 2025.
