Within the framework of the From Poverty to Prosperity III International Forum held in Namangan on September 17–18, 2025, Dr. Fahri Solak, Secretary General of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), who was in Uzbekistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment of Uzbekistan.

The 13th International Altai Communities Symposium, traditionally organized every two years with the aim of promoting a better understanding of the civilization structure and cultural values of Altai communities, and supported by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), was held in Szeged, Hungary, on September 3–5, 2025, with the main theme “The Culture of Giving Names, Titles, and Nicknames.”

The “Mongolian Local Administrators Knowledge and Experience Sharing Program,” organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with Selçuklu Municipality, was held in Konya on September 22-25, 2025.

The “From Poverty to Prosperity: Uzbekistan 3rd International Poverty Reduction Forum” was held in Namangan, Uzbekistan, a member of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), on September 17–18, 2025. At the opening ceremony, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev shared important information about the country’s poverty reduction strategies.

The Thirty-Eighth Issue of “Local Agenda in Eurasia”, the quarterly activity bulletin of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), prepared in three languages (Turkish, English, and Russian), has been published.

The “Knowledge and Experience Sharing Program of Uzbekistan Local Administrators,” organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Mahallabay Agency and Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, and Zeytinburnu Municipalities, was held in Istanbul between 08–12 September 2025.

Within the scope of the “Stationery Aid” project carried out by Zeytinburnu Municipality in collaboration with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), stationery shopping vouchers were distributed to students in need living in Zeytinburnu, including many families of Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Afghan origin, as well as other Turkic communities.

In Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, a member of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), the international conference titled “The Role of Civil Society in Strengthening Democracy in Uzbekistan: Global Challenges and Opportunities” was held on September 19, 2025.

Under the coordination of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), a “Sister City Protocol” was signed between Selçuklu Municipality (Turkey) and Nalaikh Municipality (Mongolia) on September 22, 2025, in Konya. The protocol was signed at the Selçuklu Congress Center by Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı and Nalaikh Mayor Dashzeveg Nayanbayar.

Organized by Pendik Municipality, a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), the “20th International Traditional Handicrafts Festival” was held in Pendik between 15-21 September 2025.

The “Albania Local Governments 2024” Report, prepared by the Institute for Albanian Municipalities (IAM), a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), has been published.

Under the coordination of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), financial support was provided by Konya’s Selçuklu and Karatay Municipalities to cover the annual expenses of the residents of the nursing home built in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
