Živinice, a member of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and one of the prominent cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, celebrated “Živinice Day” on June 19, 2025, with a series of events. The ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of TDBB, Fahri Solak, from Türkiye, along with the commander of NATO headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Tuzla Canton Government, and numerous local officials and guests.

Opening Ceremony of “2025 Islamic World Capital of Culture” Held in Samarkand
The opening ceremony for the declaration of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, as the “2025 Islamic World Capital of Culture” by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) was held on May 27, 2025. Samarkand is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB).

Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Ilijaš Municipality (Bosnia) Become Sister Cities
The Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Municipality of Ilijaš in Bosnia and Herzegovina, both members of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), have officially become sister cities. The sister city protocol was signed by Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay and Ilijaš Mayor Amar Dovadzija during a ceremony held in Konya on May 23, 2025.
