Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) January Executive Board Meeting was held in North Macedonia hosted by Tetovo Municipality on 29 January 2025 with the participation of local authorities from 5 different countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, TRNC, North Macedonia and Turkey).

A Sister City relationship was established between 11 municipalities from different countries in 2024 in cooperation with Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB).

Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) members, Kavajë (Albania) Municipality and Karatay (Turkey) Municipality signed Sister City Protocol on 28 January 2025 with a ceremony hosted by Kavajë Municipality.

Local elections were held in Azerbaijan on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 for city, town and village municipal council members across the country. In the local elections, which were held for the sixth time after gaining independence, Azerbaijanis went to the polls to determine the council members.

President of Palestinian Local Authorities Association (APLA) and Mayor of Salfit Municipality Abulkerim Zubaydi and his accompanying delegation visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB). During the meeting with Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak at the Union Headquarters, the signing of a Cooperation Protocol with the Union of Local Authorities of Palestine and Possible Joint Project Opportunities within the framework of the membership of Palestinian Municipalities to TDBB were discussed.

Students of Marmara University, Department of Local Governments visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and met with Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak. During the meeting, information was given about TDBB and its activities within the framework of City Diplomacy and the questions of the students were answered.
