On the occasion of UNESCO Hodja Ahmed Yasawi Year, cooperatively by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and TDBB, “Sevda-yı Muhammed: Melodized Wisdom Concert” was organized on 4 March 2017, Saturday.
The program in Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center was attended by President of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and also Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu, the grand grandson of Hodja Ahmed Yasawi from 27. Generation İsmetullah Yesevi, Kocaeli MP of AK Party Radiye Sezer Katırcıoğlu, Rector of Kocaeli University Prof. Dr. Sadettin Hülagü, municipal authorities and many other guests.
Leading Turkish philosopher Hodja Ahmed Yasawi’s 15 wisdom principles melodized for the first time were performed in the organization named as “Sevda-yı Muhammed”. The participants in the concert were distributed CDs which contained the works of Yesevi melodized for the first time, and also a book on Hodja Ahmed Yasawi. Murat Özer was the general art director of this spiritual organization while the epic narration was made by Emin Olcay and story presentation by Cemalettin Tül. 16 musical works, out of which 15 were melodized specially for this program, were performed by İbrahim Suat Erbay and İrfan Gürdal. The concert was broadcasted live in TRT AVAZ Channel.
Talking in the program, President of TDBB and also Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu said, “Love is first of all love of Allah, then love of Muhammad… Hodja Ahmed Yasawi first shared this eternal love with his students in Turkistan. He worked on them. He put them targets, gave duties and sent to Anatolia. Ahmed Yasawi is one of the greatest mentors who guided the history and enlightened our life still today.”
After the speeches and the concert, the contributors were given gifts and the program ended after the group photo.
