Consulate-General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul, Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and Marmara Group Foundation organized “Conference on the Promotion of Business and Investment Potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina” on Tuesday, 5 April 2016.
In the opening plenary session First Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Safet Softic, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic, TDBB Secretery General Dr. Fahri Solak and Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Istanbul Began Muhic give speeches.
Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina FIPA, Head of Investment Promotion Department Nina Pobric made presentation about investment potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina and underlined that 90 % of foreign companies are satisfied about their investments. “Fixed Exchange Rate, lowest inflation rate in region, income and institutional taxes are 10 % and also the lowest in the Region. She also underlined that in foreign direct Investments foreign companies has same rights like domestic Bosnian companies. In Foreign Investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina Turkey is ranked as the 12th. There are approximately 200 Turkish companies with investments about 139 millions of Euro. And we believe that it will be increase in period in front of us.”
Secretary General of TDBB Dr. Fahri Solak in his speech remarked that TDBB members from Bosnia and Herzegovina are one of the most active members and also gave information about TDBB activities in this country. He also added that TDBB organizes Members Meeting and Meeting of Administrative Board in Sarajevo between 27 and 30 May 2016.
At its second session of the conference Honorary Consol from Izmir Ahmet Kemal Baysak, President of the “Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina World Diaspora” union Hasan Sehovic and President of The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce assembly Sekib Avdagic took the floor.
The conference ended after its last session of “questions and answers” with cocktail for all participants.
