Kyrgyz Press Delegation, upon the invitation of Kyrgyzstan Amity Agency Presidency, visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities.
The delegation consisted of Kyrgyzstan Amity Agency President Nurlan Kudayberdiev, BBC Radio Bishkek Representative İbragim Nurakun Uulu, Coordinator of Association of Journalists Union Nurgül Maksütova, Political Specialist Uran Botobekov, International Azattık Radio correspondent Bakıtbek Asanov, Local Maral Radio Correspondent Kanay Anarkulov, National Obon Newspaper Editor Mirbek Mırzabekov, Media Platform Coordinator Seyitbek İdrisov, Referendum Political Newspaper Correspondent Erik İsrailov, National Public Television and Radio Correspondent Çolpon Karmışakova, Kyrgyz State Television and Radio TV Correspondent Mirlan Bektursunov, Kyrgyz State Television and Radio TV Correspondent Gülşan Kulmatova, was welcomed and informed by TDBB General Secretary Mustafa Başkurt.
Başkurt gave detailed information about the activities and programs in Kyrgyzstan; some of which are: official visits to Bishkek and Oş, completed Hz. Omar Mosque, Uzgen Friendship Kids Playground, bakery ovens granted to municipalities and Sister City Days.
Press is very important in the development of local governments
After the briefing, Mustafa Başkurt answered the questions on goals of TDBB and development of cooperation between local governments, and told that pres has an important role in the development of local governments.
At the end of the visit, Kyrgyzstan Amity Agency President Nurlan Kudayberdiev examined the meeting and expressed his appreciation for the visit and the activities.
After the visit the delegation visited EMITT 2014 Tourism Fair, Florya Aquarium, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapı Culture Houses.
