The Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Member Municipalities Regional Meeting was held in Istanbul on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, chaired by TDBB Deputy Chairman and Zeytinburnu Mayor Ömer Arısoy, and hosted by Bahçelievler Municipality.
The meeting was attended by TDBB Deputy Chairman and Zeytinburnu Mayor Ömer Arısoy, TDBB Secretary General Taha Zahid Özdemir, TDBB Board members, and Bahçelievler Mayor Dr. Hakan Bahadır, Agron Haxhımalı, General Manager of the Association of Municipalities of Albania, Abdülhadi Krasniç, Mayor of Mamuşa Municipality of Kosovo, Muhammed Sadieh, President of the Dannieh Association of Municipalities of Lebanon, Bakıt Rısbaev, Deputy General Manager of the Association of Local Governments of Kyrgyzstan, Mustafa Yalçın, Mayor of Talas (Kayseri), along with the following mayors from member municipalities in the region: Mustafa Allar, Mayor of Gerede (Bolu), Hakkı Uysal, Mayor of Evreşe (Çanakkale), Ferhat Güler, Mayor of Beğendik (Edirne), Sedat Altun, Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, Mehmet Kamil Ayata, Deputy Mayor of Esenler, Aslan Öztürk, Deputy Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa, Murat Şahin, Deputy Mayor of Kağıthane, Mustafa Tekden, Municipal Council Member of Başakşehir, Mehmet Filiz, Deputy Mayor of Kartepe (Kocaeli), and Ahmet Topuz, Municipal Council Member of Körfez (Kocaeli), participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, TDBB Deputy Chairman and Zeytinburnu Mayor Ömer Arısoy informed the participants about the activities carried out by TDBB.
The TDBB Member Municipalities Regional Meeting aimed to exchange ideas on the work that needs to be done to develop active cooperation with the municipalities in the Istanbul region that are members of TDBB.
