“A Time for Unity and Solidarity”

Mayor of Sultangazi Abdurrahman Dursun stated the following in his remarks:

“In the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of mercy and forgiveness, we are happy to share iftar together in the land of Evlad-ı Fatihan. Last year we brought our iftar programs to Bulgaria and Greece, and this year we did not want to leave our people alone. In our own spiritual geography, we wanted to share the blessings of Ramadan with the people living there. The world is going through difficult times. It is very important to remain united and together. Sometimes showing unity around the same table and demonstrating that our hearts are one with our brothers and sisters in our spiritual geography is very meaningful. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we are a great nation that demonstrates unity and solidarity both in Türkiye and wherever our people live. In Istanbul’s Sultangazi there are people who came from here, and there are also those who have returned to these lands. We will never leave them alone. May our unity and solidarity endure.”
