In cooperation with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), sister city relationships were established between 11 municipalities from different countries in 2025.
Taking into account the common cultural and civilizational heritage existing across the Turkish World, and with the aim of benefiting from knowledge, experience, and mutual practices through an approach based on brotherhood, solidarity, and cooperation; preserving historical and cultural heritage, developing cooperation especially in economic, technical, social, and cultural fields, identifying the problems of cities and urban administrations and their solutions, seeking common solutions and carrying out implementation activities, researching and developing new models in urban administration and urban culture, as well as conducting, commissioning, and supporting such studies—these are among the core missions of TDBB.
