Within the framework of the From Poverty to Prosperity III International Forum held in Namangan on September 17–18, 2025, Dr. Fahri Solak, Secretary General of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), who was in Uzbekistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment of Uzbekistan.
The signed document aims to strengthen cooperation between the parties and to develop joint projects aimed at combating poverty and increasing employment. The parties aim to enhance the exchange of experience and knowledge in the fields of local administration, employment, and poverty alleviation, to carry out capacity-building activities, to strengthen inter-institutional dialogue through the organization of joint events and forums, and to establish cooperation networks among experts and institutions.
Previously, on January 24, 2024, at a ceremony held in Istanbul, TDBB had signed a cooperation protocol with the Agency for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Mahallabay Works, affiliated with the same ministry, and had organized experience-sharing programs for representatives of the Mahallabay Organization in Uzbekistan. The newly signed document is significant in further strengthening TDBB’s cooperation with Uzbek institutions at the ministerial level.
