The “Knowledge and Experience Sharing Program of Uzbekistan Local Administrators,” organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Mahallabay Agency and Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, and Zeytinburnu Municipalities, was held in Istanbul between 08–12 September 2025.
The program was attended by Zufar Mırzaakhmedov, Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Inompolat Juraboev, Senior Expert of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Deputy Mayor Boburjon Murodaksımov of Navoi City “Binokor” Municipality; Deputy Mayor Shukhrat Nazarov of Surhanderya Denov City “Namuna” Municipality; Deputy Mayor Akbarjon Khujamuratov of Karakalpakistan Amudarya City “Bosuv” Municipality; Deputy Mayor Arofatkhon Maksudova of Fergana City “Mash’al” Municipality; Deputy Mayor Ozoda Jabbarova of Jizzakh Sharof Rashidov City “Toshkentlik” Municipality; Deputy Mayor Bobomurod Nurbaev of Samarkand Oqdaryo City “Yangi Hayot” Municipality; Deputy Mayor Davronbek Ikromov of Tashkent Piskent City “Navoi” Municipality; and Deputy Mayor Azizbek Ibragımov of Tashkent Bektemir City “Gulbog” Municipality.
On the first day of the program, 09 September 2025, the delegation visited Başakşehir Municipality and met with Mayor Yasin Kartoğlu. Afterwards, the delegation listened to a presentation on “E-Municipality and Digital Services” and conducted a field visit. Deputy Mayor Ahmet Melik of Başakşehir Municipality accompanied the delegation.
On Wednesday, 10 September 2025, the delegation visited Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality and met with Mayor Eray Karadeniz. In the meeting, the delegation was informed about the works of Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality. Afterwards, a presentation on “Art and Vocational Training Courses and Employment Activities” was held and a field visit was conducted at Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality.
On Thursday, 11 September 2025, the Uzbekistan Knowledge and Experience Sharing Delegation visited Zeytinburnu Municipality and met with Zeytinburnu Deputy Mayor Sertaç Güleç. During the visit, a presentation and field visit were carried out regarding knowledge houses, public libraries, and e-municipality activities conducted by the municipality.
On the same afternoon, the Uzbekistan delegation visited TDBB and met with Secretary General Fahri Solak. After a meeting in which the evaluation of the program was carried out, certificates of participation were presented to the delegation.
The program was completed on 12 September 2025 with the delegation’s visit to Istanbul’s historical and cultural sites, followed by their return to their countries.
