The July Administrative Board Meeting of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) was held in Kocaeli on 30 July 2025, hosted by Gebze Municipality, with the participation of local administrators from 9 different countries (Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, TRNC, North Macedonia, Lebanon, Moldova Gagauz Autonomous Region and Turkey).

The meeting, under the chairmanship of President of TDBB and Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay, was attended by hosting Mayor of Gebze (Kocaeli) Zinnur Büyükgöz, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, TDBB Administrative Board members, Mayor of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Sami Er, President of Union of Azerbaijan City Municipalities Temraz Tagıyev, Executive Director of Institute of Albanian Municipalities Agron Haxhimali, Mayor of Bosnia and Herzegovina Novi Grad Semir Efendiç, Mayor of Kosovo Mamusha Abdülhadi Krasniç, President of Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities (KTBB) Mahmut Özçınar, President of Union of Lebanon Dannieh Municipalities Muhammed Sadieh, Mayor of Sivas Adem Uzun, Mayor of Rize Rahmi Metin, Mayor of Bağcılar (İstanbul) Yasin Yıldız, Mayor of Bahçelievler Hakan Bahadır, Mayor of Başiskele (Kocaeli) Mehmet Yasin Özlü, Mayor of Karatay (Konya) Hasan Kılca, Mayor of Kozan Mustafa Atlı, Mayor of Pendik Ahmet Cin, Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Mayor of Şahinbey (Gaziantep) Mehmet Tahmazoğlu, Mayor of Talas (Kayseri) Mustafa Yalçın, Mayor of Taşköprü (Kastamonu) Hüseyin Arslan, Mayor of Ümraniye İsmet Yıldırım, Mayor of Yıldırım (Bursa) Oktay Yılmaz, Mayor of Zeytinburnu Ömer Arısoy, Vice President of Moldova Gagauz Autonomous Region Viktor Petrov and Vice Mayor of North Macedonia Tetovo Naim İsmaili.

The meeting continued with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak’s providing information about the projects carried out and the agenda since the Administrative Board Meeting on 26 April 2025, and discussing the agenda items.

Within this framework, it was decided to organize an expert training program for educators coming from Kyrgyzstan in 2025 within the scope of the “Development of Village Kindergartens Project” in cooperation with TDBB, Roza Otunbaeva International Foundation and member municipalities, to organize an experience sharing program for Mongolian local administrators in 2025, in cooperation with TDBB, Union of Mongolian Local Governments and member municipalities, to organize an experience sharing program titled “Green Area Management in Municipalities” for the expert staff of Zivinice Municipality in cooperation with TDBB, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Başiskele (Kocaeli) Municipality on 4-7 August 2025,  to carry out the process to support “Priluk Old Mosque Restoration Project” requested by Zivinice Municipality in cooperation with TDBB, member municipalities and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, to support “13th International Altai Societies Symposium” to be held in Hungary on 03-05 September 2025 by TDBB,  to ensure that the symposium proceedings book is published among TDBB publications and to participate in the symposium on behalf of TDBB, to carry out the process on providing participation support from Azerbaijan and the TRNC to the “20th International Traditional Handicrafts Festival” to be held in Istanbul on 15-21 September 2025 by Pendik (Istanbul) Municipality, to provide support from Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) for the printed material expenses of the “10th Turkish World Documentary Film Festival and Competition,” which will be organized by the Turkish World Journalists Federation in Ankara between October 7–10, 2025, and to include the TDBB logo in the written and visual materials related to the event, to carry out the “2025–2026 Academic Year School Supplies Assistance Project” for students in need in Zeytinburnu district in cooperation with Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and Zeytinburnu Municipality, to carry out work regarding the planned visit to Kyrgyzstan in 2025, upon the invitation of Rize Municipality, the sister city of Tüp (Kyrgyzstan) Municipality, to participate in the “Živinice Open 2025” program, which will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1–3 October, 2025, as a representative of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), to include the logo of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in the written and visual materials of the “CITYTECH 2025 International Urbanism and Environment Expo,” which will be held in Ankara on 18–21 September, 2025, to carry out work, under the coordination of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), to establish a sister city relationship between Bektemir Municipality (Uzbekistan) and Karatay Municipality (Konya),  to carry out work, under the coordination of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), to establish sister city relationships between the municipalities of Zavidovići (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Živinice (Bosnia and Herzegovina), West Bani (Palestine), and Baydibek (Kazakhstan), and selected suitable member municipalities of the Union, to carry out work, in cooperation with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), the Union of Turkish Non-Governmental Organizations in Macedonia (MATUSITEB), and member municipalities, to organize a cultural trip to Turkey for Turkish high school students studying in North Macedonia, to organize an information and experience sharing program for local administrators from Uzbekistan in 2025, in cooperation with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), the Uzbekistan Yuksalish Movement, and member municipalities and to hold the TDBB October Administrative Board Meeting in Konya, hosted by Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

New Membership Applications:

It was decided to approve the membership applications of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, Çemişgezek (Tunceli), Vogošća (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Baydibek (Kazakhstan), Bektemir (Uzbekistan), Qarshi (Uzbekistan), and Yukarı Çirçik (Uzbekistan) municipalities to the TDBB, in accordance with Article 5, Paragraph C of the bylaws.
