Bağcılar Municipality organized Iftar Program in the sister city Jeti-Ögüz, Kyrgyzstan on 21 March 2025.
Jeti-Ögüz Mayor Ermen Bahavadınov, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, Bagcilar Municipality Council Member Bahadır Kürşat Koç, Bagcilar Municipality Registrar Mustafa Araç, Bagcilar Municipality President Advisor Ramazan Öztürk, TDBB Foreign Relations Specialist Mairam Baigonusheva, officials from Jeti-Ögüz Municipality and 400 guests attended the iftar program.
The delegation was ceremoniously welcomed by a group headed by the district governor Bakhavadinov in front of K. Jetimishbaev “History-Sanjira” museum in Orgochor village of Jeti-Ögüz district. After examining the artifacts exhibited in the museum, the delegation visited the street dedicated to the great thinker Mahmud Kashgari in the village of Barshun and examined the draft of the planned monument to Mahmud Kashgari Barskani.
The delegation then participated in the festival program organized by the headman of Barskoon village and congratulated those present on Nowruz. In the evening of the same day, the delegation attended an iftar dinner for 400 people organized in the village of Barskoon on the occasion of Ramadan.
District Governor Bahavadinov congratulated the participants of the iftar program on the occasion of Ramadan, thanked the delegation from Turkey and presented them small gifts.
Bahadır Kürşat Koç, Councilman of Bağcılar Municipality, in his speech at the iftar, said, Expressing his pleasure for participating in the Nowruz Program organized in our sister city Jeti-Ögüz Municipality, “we reinforced our brotherhood by coming together at iftar tables during this meaningful visit coinciding with the month of Ramadan.”
Bağcılar Municipality and Jeti-Ögüz Municipality became sister cities with the protocol signed in Bağcılar on February 13, 2024 under the coordination of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB).
