A sister city protocol was signed between the members of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Pendik (Turkey) Municipality and Uzgen (Kyrgyzstan) Municipality, at a ceremony hosted by Pendik Municipality on 26 November 2024.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor of Pendik Ahmet Cin, Mayor of Uzgen Zalkarbek Karimov, Uzgen Deputy District Governor Tınçtık Kudayberdiyev and other guests.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mayor of Pendik Ahmet Cin stated that Pendik Municipality attaches importance to bilateral relations and wished the signed protocol to be beneficial.

Pendik Municipality aims to increase cooperation both locally and internationally by expanding sister city relations.

Sister City Chingeltei (Mongolia) Municipality Delegation visited Pendik

On the other hand, Mayor Ahmet Cin met with the delegation consisting of the Council Members of Mongolia Chingeltei Municipality, which became a sister city with Pendik Municipality in 2009. Mayor Ahmet Cin, who explained the investments of Pendik Municipality during the visit, stated that they aimed to further develop the relations between the two municipalities. Chingeltei Municipality Council Members also thanked Mayor Ahmet Cin for his hospitality and invited him to Mongolia.

The delegation, consisting of Mongolia Chingeltei Municipality Council Members, visited the municipality facilities after visiting Pendik Municipality. First, the delegation visited the Pendik Municipality Packaging Waste Separation Center and received information about environmental management and recycling activities, and then they inspected the Çamlık Barrier-Free Life Center. The delegation completed their Pendik visit by visiting the Pendik Grove and the Kaynarca New Generation Life Center.
