The 19th International Traditional Artists’ Gathering, organized by Pendik Municipality, a member of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), was held at Pendik Coastal Square between 13-22 September 2024 with the participation of 60 artists from 27 branches from 13 countries.
Artists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan, TRNC, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Iran and Tunisia, as well as Turkey, participated in the “International Traditional Artists Gathering” festival, which was eagerly awaited by art lovers, and exhibited their works.
On the first day of the event, traditional arts enthusiasts showed great interest. Visitors who came to the stands set up in the event area on the coast saw hundreds of works from stone printing to ceramics, from spoons to ship models, and at the same time learned about the production processes.
Pendik Mayor Ahmet Cin, who attended the opening ceremony of the event, invited all Pendik residents to the festival. Mayor Ahmet Cin emphasized the importance of the festival in his speech: “Our festival, which we organize every year, is important for the international recognition of our traditional arts. This year we are organizing the nineteenth festival and we have many guests from abroad. The fact that these guests and our artists are developing this culture increases the brotherhood between countries and provides a serious artistic experience”.
