Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak said in his speech: “Union of Turkish World Municipalities is an international organization which was established more than 20 years ago to share the municipal experience of Turkey with the municipalities of friendly and sister countries. One of our main activities is to strengthen the fraternal relations between the municipalities of friendly and sister countries. In this sense, Kyrgyzstan local governments are one of the local governments with which we work most actively and we are very pleased with this. In February 2024, Bağcılar and Jeti Ögüz Municipality signed a sister city protocol. Due to the fact that both of our mayors are young and energetic, this brotherhood produced a quick result within three or four months. I would like to thank both of our mayors in your presence.”
In her speech, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Lira Sıdıkova emphasized that the tent donated by Jeti-Ögüz Municipality is one of the important symbols of Kyrgyzstan. Cooperation with this tent symbolizes Kyrgyzstan’s desire to strengthen cultural and social ties among nations.
