“Uzbekistan Local Administrators Information and Experience Sharing Program”, organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with Bağcılar, Fatih, Kartal, Pendik, Sultanbeyli, Ümraniye and Zeytinburnu Municipalities, was held in Istanbul on 21-26 April 2024.
The program was attended by Senior Expert of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Oktam Akhrorov, Head of Department of Mahallabay Labor and Entrepreneurship Development Agency Jasur Abdulhakimov, Deputy Mayor of Andijan Saidakhror Kobuljonov, Deputy Mayor of Bukhara Farkhod Gaffurov, Deputy Mayor of Jizzah Gulchekhra Pardayeva, Deputy Mayor of Syrdarya Abdumumin Toshpulatov, Deputy Mayor of Namangan Akmalkhon Sulaymonov, Deputy Mayor of Fergana Asrorbek Esajonov, Deputy Mayor of Khwarezm Alisher Fayzullayev and Deputy Mayor of Tashkent Sherzod Yuldashev.
On the first day of the program, April 22, 2024, the delegation visited Pendik Municipality and participated in the field trip titled “Social Aid Activities of Municipalities”. On the same day, the delegation visited Kartal Municipality and received information about “Health Services in Municipalities”, and then made a field trip.
On the second day of the program, on April 23, 2024, the Experience Sharing Program delegation visited the historical and cultural places of Istanbul.
On the third day of the program, on April 24, 2024, the delegation visited Ümraniye Municipality and received information from the authorities about “Municipal Companies and Fundraising Practices” and then made a field trip. On the same day, local administrators visited Sultanbeyli Municipality, listened to the presentation on “Sports and Youth Activities in Municipalities” and made a field trip.
On the fourth day of the program, on April 25, 2024, the delegation visited Zeytinburnu Municipality and listened to the presentation on “District Mansions and Vocational Training Courses” and made a field trip. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited Fatih Municipality and listened to the presentation on “Culture and Tourism Projects in Municipalities”, and then a field trip was held.
In the program that continued at Bağcılar Municipality on Friday, April 26, 2024, participants listened to Bağcılar Municipality’s work on “Services for Disadvantaged Groups” and made a field trip.
The Uzbekistan delegation visited TDBB in the afternoon of the same day and met with Secretary General Fahri Solak. After the meeting where the program was evaluated, certificates were presented to the delegation.
The program was completed with the delegation returning to their country on April 26, 2024.
