The delegation of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), which went to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the project deliveries and the sister city signing ceremony, made various visits on 4-7 November 2021 besides the ceremonies within the scope of the program.
The visits were attended by Mayor of Karatay Hasan Kılca, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, Deputy Mayors of Karatay Ramazan Şevik, Mehmet Eğin, Mehmet Toknal and Osman Ciger.
The first visit of TDBB in its contacts with Bosnia and Herzegovina was Mayor of Novi Grad Semir Efendiç, a Member of the Administrative Board of the Union. During the visit, a meeting was held in which cooperation opportunities were evaluated. Efendic expressed his pleasure to host the TDBB delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed his happiness for the projects carried out by TDBB in Bosnia.
Within the scope of Bosnia and Herzegovina program, TDBB delegation met with Ramiz Salkić, Vice President of Republika Srpska (RS). During the meeting, Salkić informed the delegation about the situation of Bosnians living in this region. After the meeting, the delegation also visited the Bratunac Mausoleum, where those who were martyred in 1992 are buried, and prayed for the martyrs.
TDBB delegation also visited Sarajevo Ambassador Sadık Babür Girgin within the scope of Bosnia and Herzegovina program. During the visit, the TDBB delegation informed Ambassador Babur about the ongoing projects of the Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Babür expressed that he was very pleased with TDBB’s active relations with Bosnia and that he followed the projects and that important projects were implemented and thanked TDBB for its close cooperation.
The delegation, which completed the project openings, signing ceremony and visits, returned to Turkey on 7 November 2021.
