Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) September Executive Board Meeting was held with the hybrid method on September 25, 2021, hosted by TDBB Administrative Board Member Gostivar Municipality (North Macedonia).
The meeting, which was chaired by Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality and TDBB President Uğur İbrahim Altay was attended by the host Mayor of Gostivar Arben Taravari, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, Union Executive Board Members Mayor of Zeytinburnu Ömer Arısoy, Mayor of Başiskele Yasin Özlü and TDBB Administrative Board Member Mayor of Osmangazi Mustafa Dündar.
The meeting continued with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak’s briefing on the activities and agenda since the Executive Board meeting held on 19 August 2021, and discussion of the agenda items.
Within this framework, it was decided to carry out the “Completion of Mostar Cemal Biyedic University Student Dormitory Project” requested by the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo, in cooperation with TDBB and Selçuklu (Konya) Municipality, to support “13rd World East Turkestani Brotherhood Gathering” by TDBB which will take place in Sarajevo between 08 and 11 October 2021, to support “Gerçek Hayat Magazine Turkish World Special Issue” by TDBB, to carry out work to establish a sister city relationship between Municipality of Olovo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and our Union members who are experienced in Thermal Tourism and Ropeway Management, to carry out work to establish a sister city relationship between the city of Turkestan (Kazakhstan) and the municipalities of Zeytinburnu (Istanbul) and Üsküdar (Istanbul) under the coordination of TDBB, to carry out the “Turkish Class” project in Bosnia and Herzegovina Donji Vakuf requested by Sarajevo Yunus Emre Institute in cooperation with TDBB and Selçuklu (Konya) Municipality, to carry out work in cooperation with TDBB and Yunus Emre Institute regarding the “Opening of Turkish Classes Project” requested from Mongolia, to organize information and experience sharing programs on “Developing Public-Private Sector Cooperation” for the Turkish World and Balkan members of our Union in cooperation with the United Nations Development Agency (UNDP), Istanbul International Private Sector and Development Center (IICPSD) and TDBB, to organize expert training and information and experience sharing program for TDBB Azerbaijan member municipalities, to participate in “9. International Altai Communities Symposium” organized by Osmangazi (Bursa) Municipality between 27-30 September 2021, on behalf of TDBB, to publish the books “Turkic Republics in the 30th Anniversary of their Independence” among TDBB publications, to carry out work on the organization of a visit program to Palestine by TDBB delegation, to organize “TDBB Local Administrations Summit” to be held together with “TDBB 6th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting” in 2022 and to organize TDBB October Executive Board Meeting hosted by Rize Municipality in Rize, TDBB November Executive Board Meeting hosted by Osmangazi (Bursa) Municipality in Bursa and TDBB December Executive Board Meeting hosted by Lebanon Dannieh Municipalities Union.
