As a result of developing relations with Balkan countries Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) supports many permanent projects in the region. TDBB will renovate a school in Srebrenik, a member municipality from Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the Administrative Board Meeting from January, TDBB signed a protocol for the Rapatnica Elementary School Renovation Project that is located in Srebrenik, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The protocol was signed by the President of the TDBB İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu and the Director of the Srebrenik Rapatnica School Zehrudin Muhedinovic.
Muhedinovic in his speech at the protocol said how Rapatnica elementary school is one of the oldest and largest schools in Srebrenik and has about 450 students. He said that it is the first primary school in Srebrenik to accept Turkish as an elective course and that Turkish is taught in school for three years. Muhedinovic said, I would like to thank TDBB for this assistance to our school. We will start the works very quickly and finish the school’s renovations as soon as possible and open them to the service of the students.
Srebrenik is located in the Tuzla Canton that is part of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the northeastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the 2013 census, the municipality has a population of 39,678.
