Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) September Executive Board Meeting was held at TDBB Headquarters in Istanbul on 18 September 2018, Wednesday.
The meeting, under the chairmanship of Deputy President of TDBB and also Mayor of Zeytinburnu Murat Aydın, was participated by Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak and TDBB Executive Board Members who are Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Burhanettin Kocamaz, Mayor of Bağcılar Lokman Çağırıcı, Mayor of Beykoz Yücel Çelikbilek, Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatırmacı and Mayor of Şahinbey Mehmet Tahmazoğlu.
After Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak gave information about the conducted activities and the agenda since the last meeting of Executive Board on August 15, 2018, the meeting continued with the discussion of the issues from the agenda.
Within this framework, it was decided to organize TDBB’s “Sister Cities Web Platform” Publicity Meeting on 05 October 2018 in Istanbul, to support “4th International Yunus Emre Days” organized by Yunusemre Municipality between 17 and 20 October 2018, to participate in “IBAC 2018- 8th International Balkan Conference” on behalf of TDBB in Croatia between 26 and 29 September 2018, to participate in “Istanbul Water Congress and Fair” organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality at Haliç Congress Hall between 11 and 13 October 2018, to participate in “13th Silk Road Mayors Forum” organized by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in Antalya between 20 and 23 October 2018, to participate in “Invest Gagauzia 360 Forum” in Moldova Gagauz Autonomous Region between 03 and 04 November 2018, to give participation support to “7th International Istanbul Smart Grid and Cities Congress and Fair” in Haliç Congress Hall between 25 and 26 April 2019, to organize second workshop of “Human Rights Cities Project” cooperatively by TDBB and RWI between 19 and 21 September 2018 in Istanbul, to participate in “World Human Rights Cities Forum” on behalf of TDBB in South Korea between 18 and 21 October 2018, to publish “Sister City Activities within Turkey and around World” book as TDBB Publications, to organize Tatarstan Member Municipalities Information and Experience Sharing Program between 14 and 20 October 2018, to give accommodation support to ‘Turkey-Russia: Symposium on Dual Relations in International Context’ organized by Istanbul University Historical Research Center between 19 and 20 October 2018 in Moscow and to give participation support to ‘3rd International Social Sciences Congress’ in Uzbekistan between 17 and 21 October 2018.
