In cooperation with the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, Rize Municipality is organizing iftar programs for people in need throughout the month of Ramadan in the Syrian city of Manbij. Within the scope of the program, which is carried out with a daily iftar organization for 500 people, it is aimed to deliver hot meals to approximately 10,000 people over a period of 20 days.

The iftar programs, which aim to uphold the spirit of sharing and solidarity during Ramadan, provide significant support for the people of Manbij, who are facing difficult conditions due to war and economic hardship. Hundreds of people gather each day at the iftar tables to break their fast together, while hot meals are also delivered to families in need.

The initiative, implemented under the leadership of Rize Municipality with the support of TDBB and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, contributes both materially and morally to people in need in the region. Meals prepared within the program are distributed before iftar time through volunteers and assigned teams.

Officials emphasized that such humanitarian assistance activities carried out during Ramadan strengthen the sense of solidarity among communities, noting that iftar programs organized especially in regions affected by war and poverty are of great importance.

Thanks to this initiative, which reinforces the values of unity, solidarity, and mutual assistance associated with Ramadan, hundreds of families living in Manbij gather around iftar tables and share the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month. The program, conducted with a daily iftar service for 500 people, is planned to continue for 20 days, reaching approximately 10,000 people in total.

This meaningful initiative carried out with the support of Rize Municipality also stands as a strong example of the bridge of goodwill extending from Türkiye to Syria.
