The December 2025 Executive Board Meeting of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) was held on 19 December 2025 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), hosted by Güzelyurt Municipality.

The meeting, chaired by TDBB President and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, was attended by TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak; members of the TDBB Board of Directors İsmet Yıldırım, Mayor of Ümraniye; Mehmet Tahmazoğlu, Mayor of Şahinbey; Ömer Arısoy, Mayor of Zeytinburnu; and Mehmet Yasin Özlü, Mayor of Başiskele; as well as TDBB Board Members including the host, TRNC Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar; Yasemin Fazlaca, Mayor of Altınova; Hasan Kılca, Mayor of Karatay; Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Mayor of Selçuklu; and Ahmet Hayri Orçan, Mayor of Tatlısu Municipality of the TRNC.

The meeting continued with a briefing by TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak on the activities carried out and the agenda since the Board of Directors meeting held on 2 October 2025, followed by discussions on the agenda items.

Within this framework, it was decided to implement the “Skopje (North Macedonia) Metropolitan Municipality Garbage Truck Request Project” in cooperation with sister cities in Türkiye; to organize expert training programs in 2026 for expert delegations coming from Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan and TDBB; to organize an expert training program on “Food Banking” for an expert delegation from Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, TDBB, Ümraniye (Istanbul) Municipality, and Şahinbey (Gaziantep) Municipality; to use the TDBB logo in the written and visual materials of “CITYTECH 2026 – International Urbanism and Environment Fair,” to be held in Ankara on 23–26 September 2026; to organize a visit program to North Macedonia by TDBB upon the invitation of Tearce Municipality (North Macedonia); to provide transportation support in cooperation with TDBB and member municipalities for sending park equipment located in Türkiye to the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit of Moldova; to carry out efforts to strengthen the relations of Bayan-Ölgii (Mongolia) Municipality with its sister cities in Türkiye; to provide TDBB support for the monthly expenses in 2026 of the dormitory located in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, operated by EMMAUS; to carry out work on establishing a sister city relationship between Banovići (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Municipality and Pendik (Istanbul) Municipality; to submit the membership application of Abana (Kastamonu) Municipality to the Board of Directors with a favorable opinion; and to hold the TDBB January Board of Directors Meeting on 28 January 2026 in Gaziantep, hosted by Şahinbey (Gaziantep) Municipality.
