The Balkan Sports Park project, built on the campus of the International Balkan University (IBU) located in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, has been completed under the coordination of the Union of Municipalities of the Turkish World (TDBB), with contributions from Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Selçuklu Municipality.
The project aims to expand access to sports for Balkan youth and to add dynamism to university life. Designed to meet the needs of the region’s young population, the park offers modern sports infrastructure, including basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, and chess courts, as well as individual sports areas. This diversity enables students to actively participate in different sports disciplines.
The Balkan Sports Park offers extensive usage capacity not only for sports activities, but also for tournaments, social events, and student gatherings. The project aims to strengthen social interaction alongside physical activity. By promoting an active lifestyle culture within the university, the Sports Park provides an environment where young people can integrate sports into their daily routines. The Balkan Sports Park is expected to become a center that will add value to the university community for many years, contribute to the upbringing of healthy generations, and enrich university life.
