The Turkish Culture Program for High School Students Receiving Turkish Education in North Macedonia, organized by the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) in cooperation with MATÜSİTEB, TİKA and Konya Metropolitan Municipality, was held in Istanbul, Konya, Edirne and Çanakkale between 20 July and 3 August, 2025.
The program was attended by 80 high school students and 5 teachers from various cities in North Macedonia. In the program where the first group (36 boys) participated from July 20-27, 2025, and the second group (44 girls) from July 27 to August 3, 2025, the students and teachers visited numerous historical, cultural, and touristic sites in Istanbul, Konya, Edirne, and Çanakkale, and municipal youth-focused initiatives.
Students traveled by bus from North Macedonia to Edirne and toured its historical and cultural sites. During the Istanbul part of the program, students and teachers toured the historical peninsula (Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet Mosques, the Spice Bazaar, and the Grand Bazaar). Students traveled from Istanbul to Konya, where they toured the city’s historical and tourist attractions, hosted by Konya Metropolitan Municipality. Later, the students traveled to Çanakkale and visited the Martyrs’ Memorial.
