Union of Turkish World Municipalities’ (TDBB) “2024 Annual Report” has been published in Turkish, English and Russian.
In the 2024 Annual Report, which includes TDBB’s institutional information as well as one-year activities; following the inhumane attacks launched by Israel in Gaza on October 7, 2023, upon the request of TDBB member municipalities in Gaza Strip, the Palestinian people: The aid campaign carried out under the coordination of TDBB with the support of member municipalities of Turkey in order to meet basic humanitarian needs such as municipal services, food, fuel, water and salaries; Under the coordination of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), the cooperation protocol envisaging cooperation in various fields of local governments between Union of Turkish Cypriot Municipalities (KTBB) and Union of City Municipalities of Azerbaijan (AŞBMA) was signed in Kyrenia, TDBB’s cooperation protocols with institutions such as Mahallabay Studies and Entrepreneurship Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Local Governments Union, financial support to Ayvaz Dede ceremonies and Srebrenica Student Dormitory, and ensuring that students from various countries come together in summer camps during the year are some of the prominent topics.
Within the framework of experience sharing and expert training programs, the 2024 Annual Report, which also includes the Information and Experience Sharing Programs held face-to-face in 2024 for the local administrators of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, also includes the administrative meetings of the Union, the programs organized and supported in cooperation, ‘printed publications’, international events attended, representations and visits, ‘financial information’, municipalities that became new members of TDBB in 2024, coordinated ‘Sister City activities’, ‘activities of TDBB members related to the Turkish World’ and ‘TDBB in the Press’ are listed as other titles in the report.
