“22. Turkic World Children Festival” organized by the Turkish World Research Foundation and supported by Bağcılar Municipality and Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) was held in Istanbul between 20 and 27 May 2017.
To 22. Turkish World Children Festival, 22 groups, about 350 students, around 60 teachers and a large number of citizens from Afghanistan, Ahiska Turks, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Dagestan, Iraqi Turks, Kyrgyzstan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Macedonia, Tatarstan, Crimea, Syrian Turks, Gagauzia, East Turkestan and Turkey participated.
The Turkish World Children Festival aims to presentation of Turkey by the children from Turkic republics and communities, built friendships and strengthen ties of brotherhood with the help of children, make cultural exchange and built friendship bridges beyond families from Turkic world.
On May 24, 2017 at Bağcılar Olympic Sports Complex, Azerbaijan Baku “Hezri”, Kyrgyzstan Bishkek “Şattık” and “Bazarbayeva”, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus “Bayçecekey”, “İskele Ziyamet Primary School”; Russian Federation Tatarstan Autonomous Republic Sarman “Umurzaya”, Dagestan Autonomous Republic Kumuk Turks “Sarıkum”, Crimean Simferopol (Akmescit) “Crimean Tatar Cemile”, Kosova Vuştri “Cesme”, Iraq Kirkuk “Kirkuk Turkmeneli”, Istanbul East Turkestan Turks Education and Solidarity Association “Eastern Turkistan Uyghur Turks” Moldova Gagauzia Autonomous Region Komrat “Golden Fountain”, Bursa Ahiska Turks “Ahiska Ateşi”, Bulgaria Old Friday “Mutaflar Primary School”, Turkey Istanbul “Bakirkoy Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar Primary School”, Küçükyalı “Sevgi Evleri” groups showed spectacular plays with intense interest from the audience.
Also, within the context of the 22nd Turkic World Children Festival, 13th Voice Contest of Turkic World Children was held on 25 May 2017 at IBB Cem Karaca Culture Center. Rania Zaripova from the “Umırzaya” group participated from Sarman/Tatarstan was the winner of the contest with the song “Kondrak Bolinnarı”, second was Anna Daragu from Komrad city Gagauzia/Moldova with the song “Ana Yerim” the third was Emin Memmedov from “Hezri” group from Baku capital city Azerbaijan with the song “Evleri Var Hana Hana”.
