The delegation of 14 mayors of TDBB members in Moldova Gagauzia Autonomous Region visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) on Wednesday, 14 December 2016 in the frame of information and experience sharing program on “Alternative Energy Sources and Asphalt Works in Local Governments.”

Delegation under the presidency of Mayor of Komrad Serghei Anastov was consisted of Mayor of Haydar Ilia Chiosea, Mayor of Kazakliya Mihaylovich Kior Grigoriy, Mayor of Karboliya Konstantin Gaydarzhi, Mayor of Kotovskoye Gheorghi Palic, Mayor of Tomay Fiodor Topciu, Mayor of Coltay Ilia Koshulinski, Mayor of Baurci Nicolai Carapirea, Mayor of Chadir Lunga Anatoli Topal, Mayor of Kipchak Oleg Garizan, Deputy Mayor of Kongaz Ivan Cheles and Mayor Advisor of Komrad Lidia Ostas.

Mayor of Komrad Serghei Anastov expressed his appreciation of being in Turkey and said “I would like to thank you on behalf of Gagauz Municipalities for offering that kind of program. It is very efficient for us. TDBB and TIKA always help us, we also thank for this. We would like to increase our cooperation with Turkey. Turkey is a big country with its population and economy. We invite the businessmen in Turkey to Gaguzia for investment. We want to built sister city relations with municipalities in Turkey. We request from TDBB to help us on this issue. Also we will be glad to host you in Gagauzia.

Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak said “Thank you all for your visit to our Union. As TDBB we give importance to works with Gagauzia Autonomous Region. We have approximately 20 members from Gagauzia Autonomous Region. We would like to have new members. I hope this program will be a start of a new period. Not just municipal area, relations between Turkey and Gagauzia are developing in every level. This week President of Gagauzia came to Turkey, she will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other officers; we invited her to our Sister City Meeting on Friday evening. By using this opportunity I would like to congratulate all the new elected mayors and wish them success. I hope will have an efficient cooperation period until the next election.”
