“2016 Respect to Heritage, Develop the Country Year” cultural activities, organized for 25th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, cooperatively by Istanbul Consulate General of Turkmenistan, Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Turkmenistan Solidarity and Aid Organization and Zeytinburnu Municipality, were held in Zeytinburnu Municipality Culture and Art Center on 2 June 2016.
The program was attended by Ankara Ambassador of Turkmenistan İşankuli Amanlyev, Istanbul Consul General of Turkmenistan Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, Vice-Rector of Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs International Relations Institute Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, President of Turkmenistan Solidarity and Aid Organization İsmail Necdet Aygün, Secretary General of Union of Turkish World Municipalities Fahri Solak and Deputy President of TDBB and also Mayor of Zeytinburnu Murat Aydın, and each of them made a speech.
After performing the national anthems of both countries, an introductory video on Turkmenistan was watched. Following the speeches of the participants, traditional folklore and cultural shows of Turkmen culture met with the audience. After the shows, the guests were served Turkmen pilaf and the program ended.
