Held for the sixth time, Keçiören Municipality International Ramadan Activities hosted many countries this year.
Bringing the joy of Ramadan by crossing the borders under the framework of Ramadan Activities, Keçiören Municipality kept on organizing activities in different geographies to share this happiness with the world. Within this concept, a bridge was built with a different country each day of Ramadan with the participation of 20 countries including Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Crimea and Cyprus.
The concert of Aşk-ı Reyyan, who took stage in the opening ceremony of the activities, won the recognition of citizens. The concert of opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and also PM of Ankara Yalçın Akdoğan, Mayor of Keçiören Mustafa Ak, District Governor of Keçiören Nusret Dirim, the ambassadors of the countries who were represented in International Ramadan Activities, many PMs and NGO Representatives.
Attending to the first Iftar of International Ramadan Activities Mayor of Keçiören Mustafa Ak said, “The bridges that we build to maintain the spirit and meaning of Ramadan will sometimes carry us to the ending points of Africa or to the green lands of Balkans. We will get excited for meeting even once in a year with our brothers/sisters with whom we lived together in peace in lands from Bosnia to Palestine, from Afghanistan to Kosovo.”
During one month-Ramadan time, in cooperation with the ambassadors of the related countries, stands were opened for the presentation of cultural wealth of the related countries while the folkloric and music groups took stage for their national shows.
