Bağcılar Municipality kept on organizing iftar programs in Kazakhstan. The iftar, which was held in Almaty, one of the important cities of Kazakhstan, was attended by Almalı Municipal officers, President of Kul Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Foundation Ahmet Zekai Yakşi, authorities of Union of World Meskhetian Turks, businessmen, aldermen and many other guests over 600. In Iftar program namely “Gönül Sofrası (Brotherhood Iftar)”, organized by Bağcılar Municipality in cooperation with its sister city Almalı district, important messages on brotherhood and solidarity were given.

Speaking in the program, Mayor of Bağcılar Lokman Çağırıcı stated that Turkey and Kazakhstan are one nation two states and they have created a brotherhood and solidarity bridge between them as a result of having common beliefs. Çağırıcı added, “We are bound up with love. We live the experience of Ramadan peacefully both in Turkey and Kazakhstan”. Besides he stated that they give specific importance to Turkic Republics and they had signed many important projects in cooperation with Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Foundation in Bağcılar.

After the program prayers were made for Muslims in East Turkistan, whose fasting was banned by China.
