Union of Turkish World Municipalities’ (TDBB) March Executive Board Meeting was held in Gebze on Twenty-Four June, hosted by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. The meeting under the chairmanship of President of Union and Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu was attended by the Members of Executive Board who are Mayor of Mersin Metropoltian Municipality Burhanettin Kocamaz, Mayor of Beykoz Yücel Çelikbilek, Mayor of Zeytinburnu Murat Aydın, Mayor of Selçuklu Uğur İbrahim Altay, Secretary General of TDBB Fahri Solak and Mayor of Gebze Adnan Köşker.
The meeting started with the briefing of Secretary General Fahri Solak on the present and future activities since the Executive Meeting on Twenty May, and continued with the discussion of the topics on the agenda.
4th Ordinary General Meeting will be in September
In the meeting the decisions about the following issues were settled: Support to Bosnia and Herzegovina Olovo Municipality applied training Cooperation and Güzelyurt Municipality Wheel Chair Request; support to “Altai Communities Symposium” which will be held in Antalya between July Twenty and Twenty-Two; support to the request of Kazan Consulate General about the publication of “Tartarica” as a TDBB publication; and TDBB 4th Ordinary General Meeting’s taking place in Nine September in Istanbul. Besides, the membership applications of Çubuk (Ankara) Municipality and Karatau Municipality (Kazakhstan) were approved.
Official Visit Invitation to Mongolia
Moreover, the official visit invitation coming from Union of Mongolian Municipalities was discussed. The invitation was responded positively, and it was decided that the visit would be made in August and it was stated that in the program which was organized in cooperation with TDBB and Union of Mongolian Municipalities, the official visits in capital city Ulanbataar, Erdenet and Darkhan would be beneficial for both sides.
