Union of Turkish World Municipalities’ (TDBB) “Organized Industrial Zones in Local Development & Parks, Gardens and Green Fields Management” Information and Experience Program, organized for Tatarstan Municipalities on 15-21 March 2015, ended.
The one-week program held in Istanbul and Kocaeli was participated by a group of 20 local authorities from Tatarstan under the chairmanship of Republic of Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Economy Natalya Tarkayeva.
After the opening session held in Headquarters on 16 March 2015, the delegation visited Topkapı Cultural Park, 1453 Museum, Abdullah Tukay Monument and Miniatürk, then went to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Project Tent to be informed about the activities and future projects of the Municipality. Within the context of “Organized Industrial Zones in Local Development & Parks, Gardens and Green Fields Management” Program, organized by taking into consideration the important role of municipalities in local government and announcement of year 2015 as Parks, Gardens and Green Fields in Tatarstan, the delegation was informed about the activities of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Gebze Municipality, Kocaeli Chamber of Industry and organized industrial zones in Marmara Region, and had the opportunity to examine the applications on site.
Besides, the mayors coming from Tatarstan, their sister city mayors in Turkey and the representatives of various private sector who have investments in Tatarstan gathered in a dinner organization on 17 March with the concept of “Sister Cities Meeting”, hosted by President of TDBB and also Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu.
Present within the framework of Information and Experience Sharing Program, Tatarstan delegation also attended to Turkish World Nawruz Concert that was organized by TDBB in cooperation with TÜRKSOY hosted by Zeytinburnu Municipality on 19 March 2015.
The heavy Schedule ended on 20 March 2015 with the presentation of Participation Certificates and the Closing Dinner Ceremony hosted by Vice President of TDBB and also Mayor of Beykoz Yücel Çelikbilek.
The program was attended by Republic of Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Economy Natalya Tarkayeva, Republic of Tatarstan Head of Local Governments Information and Analaysi Department Timur Ahmetvaleyev, Secretary General of Union of Tatarstan Municipalities Aleksandr Barışev, and Presidents of Executive Committees of Kazan, Sarmanova, Naberejnie Çelni, Aznakayevo, Alkeyevo, Almetyevsk, Arsk, Bavlı, Bugulma, Buinsk, Yelabuga, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Kamsko-Ustyinsk, Kukmorsk, Leninogorsk, Nijnekamsk Municipalities.
