Union of Turkish World Municipalities’ (TDBB) “Organized Industrial Zones in Local Development & Parks, Gardens and Green Fields Management” Information and Experience Program, organized for Tatarstan Municipalities, started.   

The opening session of the program, which was held in Headquarters of the Union on 16 March 2015, was participated by Republic of Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Economy Natalya Tarkayeva, a group of 20 delegations of Tatarstan Local Authorities, Republic of Tatarstan Turkey Representative Aydar Gaşigullin and TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak.       

2015 was declared as Parks, Gardens and Green Fields in Tatarstan

In the opening  session in which Secretary General Fahri Solak briefed about the aims and the content of the program in detail, Republic of Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Economy Natalya Tarkayeva underlined that 2015 was declared as Parks, Gardens and Green Fields in Tatarstan and added: “With this program we are attending right now, we will have the opportunity to see importance Istanbul has given to the green fields arrangement; we are very happy to benefit from the information and experience in this area, I believe that we are in the right place for experience sharing.” Afterwards speaking in sequence, Union of Republic of Tatarstan MunicipalitiesAleksandır Barışev and Republic of Tatarstan Turkey Representative Aydar Gaşigullin declared their appreciation for the program and wished the program would be beneficial.

After the mutual gift presentations, the group visited Topkapı Cultural Park, 1453 Museum, Abdullay Tukay Monument and Miniaturk, went to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Project Tent and was informed about the activities and future projects of the municipality.

Istanbul, Kocaeli ve Gebze will share their Information and Experience

During the one-week program with the content of Organized Industrial Zones and Green Fields Management, the mayors will be informed about the activities of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Gebze Municipality, Gebze Chamber of Industry and organized industrial zones in Marmara Region, and will have the opportunity to examine the applications on site. Besides, the mayors coming from Tatarstan and their sister city mayors in Turkey will come together in a dinner organization on 17 March with the concept of “Sister Cities Meeting”, hosted by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.

 The mayors will attend to Turkish World Nawruz Concert on 19 March, organized with the cooperation of TDBB and Zeytinburnu Municipality, and Istanbul Nawruz Celebrations that will take place in Topkapı Cultural Park on 21 March 2015.The Program will end with the closing ceremony dinner hosted by Beykoz Municipality and the presentation of Participation Certificates on 20 March 2015.
