The third summit of WICS themed on intelligent and sustainable cities for economic development, has held in Istanbul between 10 – 11 December 2014.
In the summit that organized by several institutions like Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Ministry for EU Affairs, Union of Municipalities of Turkey, UCLG – MEWA and Union of Marmara Municipalities; sessions were about New Generation Information Management Systems, Urban Transformation in Intelligent Cities, Health Network Management, Tourism, Social Media, Geographic Information Systems, Transportation Systems and some other topics..
Mayors Shared Their Experiences About New Generation Solutions
Right along with leading experts, mayors of Adana, Erzurum, Konya and Samsun Metropolitan Municipalities and mayors of Bağcılar, Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Kadıköy, Kağıthane, Pendik, Sancaktepe and Üsküdar district municipalities shared their experiences in the summit.
Training Delegation of TDBB Participated to Summit
Besides, “Information Technologies and E-Municipality” training delegation of TDBB that was in Istanbul between 7 – 13 December 2014 participated to summit and watched the presentations. There were 13 Data Processing experts of several member municipalities from 7 different countries in the delegation.
