“Information and Experience Sharing Program” organized by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) for Turkish Cypriot Municipalities in cooperation with Altındağ Municipality, Karatay Municipality and Selçuklu Municipality was held in Konya and Ankara on 6-10 September 2023.
In the delegation, under the chairmanship of President of Union of Turkish Cyprus Municipalities and also Mayor of Güzelyurt Mahmut Özçınar, Mayor of Erenköy-Karpaz Hamit Bakırcı, Mayor of Dikmen Yüksel Çelebi, Mayor of Mesarya Ahmet Latif, Mayor of Çatalköy Ceyhun Kırok, Mayor of Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Fatma Çimen Tuğlu, Mayor of Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Ali Karavezirler and Mayor of Yeniboğaziçi Katip Demir took part.
The delegation, which started the program in Konya, first met with Mayor of Selçuklu Ahmet Pekyatırmacı. The delegation received information about the works, projects and activities of Selçuklu Municipality, made a field trip and made observations.
On the second day of the program, a presentation was made about the projects and works of Karatay Municipality to the Mayors who visited Mayor of Karatay Hasan Kılca. Mayors also inspected the activity areas of Karatay Municipality.
On the third day of the program, the delegation went to Ankara and met with Mayor of Altındağ Asım Balcı. After the meeting, the delegation listened to the presentation about the projects and works of Altındağ Municipality, made a field trip and made observations.
President of KTBB and Mayor of Güzelyurt Mahmut Özçınar stated that the Information and Experience Sharing Program organized by TDBB for Turkish Cyprus Municipalities was very productive, drew attention to the importance of such contacts and thanked the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB).
