Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) December Executive Board Meeting was held on 29 December 2021 at the Union headquarters in Istanbul.
The meeting, chaired by President of TDBB and Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay, was attended by TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak, TDBB Executive Board members Mayor of Beykoz Murat Aydın, Mayor of Zeytinburnu Ömer Arısoy, Mayor of Bağcılar Lokman Çağırıcı and Mayor of Başiskele Mehmet Yasin Özlü.
The meeting continued with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak giving information about the work carried out since the Executive Board meeting on 20 November 2021 and the agenda, and discussion of the agenda items.
Within this framework, it was decided to realize the “Buying a Shuttle Bus to Srebrenica Student Dormitory Project” requested by Bosnia and Herzegovina Emmaus Solidarity and Assistance Association in cooperation with TDBB and Selçuklu Municipality, to carry out the “Project of Meeting the Annual Education Expenses of the 20 Students Staying in the Srebrenica Student Dormitory” requested by Bosnia and Herzegovina Emmaus Solidarity and Assistance Association in cooperation with TDBB and Selçuklu Municipality, to carry out “Turkish World Music Event” proposed by the International Music Council to be held in Bursa in 2022, in cooperation with Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TDBB, to organize a working visit to Olovo in 2022 with a technical committee consisting of Bursa Metropolitan and Karatay (Konya) Municipalities upon the invitation of Olovo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Municipality, to carry out work on strengthening the relations between Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek Metropolitan and Osh Municipalities and its member sister cities in Turkey under the coordination of TDBB, to work on establishing a sister city relationship between Mogadishu (Somalia) Municipality and Konya Metropolitan Municipality under the coordination of TDBB, to work on establishing a sister city relationship between Gostivar (North Macedonia) Municipality and Karatay (Konya) Municipality under the coordination of TDBB, to work on establishing a sister city relationship between Gracanica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Municipality and Gebze (Kocaeli) Municipality under the coordination of TDBB, to work on the visit program planned to be carried out to Turkey in March 2022 by the Gaza (Palestine) Metropolitan Municipality, to prepare and send the project list regarding our TDBB 2021 International Development and Foreign Aid activities requested by TIKA and to hold January 2022 Administrative Board Meeting in Denizli, hosted by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality.
