Organized in cooperation with the Turkish World Children’s Foundation (TDÇV) and the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, where the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) is also among the supporting organizations, 5. International Turkish World Science and Culture Festival was held on 24-26 November 2021 in Tashkent, the Capital of Uzbekistan. The festival was participated by a large number of children from more than 20 countries.
The closing and award ceremony of the festival held in the Technopark of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey Uğurhan Kuş, Secretary General of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Fahri Solak, Director of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Center of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Alimcan Toyçiyev, President of Turkish World Children Foundation Güngör Azim Tuna, child groups from participating countries and other officials.
In his speech at the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey Uğurhan Kuş stated that children from various parts of the Turkish world exhibited their inventions for three days and pointed out the importance of providing such opportunities to children. He thanked the partner organizations that provided the necessary opportunities for children to develop themselves by organizing such events and supported this organization.
In addition, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak stated that, as TDBB, they are very pleased to be one of the organizations supporting such an organization and added that it is very meaningful to organize the festival in Uzbekistan this year.
The President of the Turkish World Children Foundation Güngör Azim Tuna stated that the festival is beneficial for everyone and that the winner is the Turkish world and emphasized that as the Turkish World Children Foundation; they will always be with the children and support such activities. Stating that the aforesaid festival will be held in Turkey next year, Tuna added that this event will be very beneficial for children to develop themselves.
At the end of the closing ceremony, the children who ranked high in various branches in the competition organized as part of the “5th International Turkish World Science and Culture Festival” were awarded.
After the jury’s evaluations aimed at highlighting the original aspects of each project, 6 projects appreciated highly were awarded. In this context, gold was awarded to Canangir Ramazanov from Uzbekistan as first place for the “Waiter Robot Project” and Helin Seçil Demirtaş from Turkey as the second place for the “Intelligent Traffic Management” project, “bronze” was awarded to Ferid Huseyinoğlu as the third place for the “Glasses Recognizing Friend and Foe” project, and Melek Bilhe Mirzaiyev as the fourth place for the “Water Production from Moisture” project, from Azerbaijan. Diana Mitioglo from Moldova-Gagauzia for the fifth place for her “Profession Selection” project and Abdullah Shamansutov from Kazakhstan for the sixth place for the “Vehicle control chip-vehicle shaking and approach signal” project were awarded the “silver” medal.
With the festival, it is aimed to increase the project-making abilities of children from different geographies of the Turkish World, to encourage them to make new inventions, to bring the children together, to strengthen the bridges of their hearts and to invest in the common future.
