30th anniversary of the independence day of Kyrgyzstan was celebrated with a reception given by the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul on 31 August 2021.
Consul General of Kyrgyzstan to Istanbul Lira Sıdıkova, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Özlem Bozkurt Gevrek, Mayor of Beyoğlu Haydar Ali Yıldız, Secretary General of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Fahri Solak and several guests attended to the reception organized by the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul.
Kyrgyzstan’s Consul General Lira Sıdıkova stated, in her speech, that the independence of Kyrgyzstan was happened peacefully considering we rarely seem such situations happened in history. Therefore, we should know the value of this. Gaining independence is a difficult task; however keeping independence is much more difficult. We are aware of the responsibility of keeping and saving it. Turkey was the first country to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan. The relations between the two countries are developing day by day in the fields of history, language, politics, civilization, humanitarian, commercial and economic areas. Distinguished guests, I sincerely congratulate Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day, 31st of August, as Kyrgyzstan’s Consulate General to Istanbul. I wish you all health, happiness and success in your life. I would like to thank all the guests for attending our invitation on this important day.”
Deputy Governor of Istanbul Özlem Bozkurt Gevrek stated, in her speech, that; “I bring the greetings of the Governor of Istanbul Ali Yerlikaya. I wish that the bridges of heart that have been establishing between our countries to this day will last long and grow day by day. I hope to be together in many thirty years. I wish the continuation of this bridge of heart and this friendship”. Mayor of Beyoğlu Haydar Ali Yıldız, in his speech, posited that, “I believe that the high-level strategic cooperation between our countries will gradually improve. We are ready to do our part in that as Beyoğlu Municipality”.
TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak expressed that, “Today, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence. This is a great honor for a newly established state. We are also celebrating this happy day of our friend and brother Kyrgyz people with the same proud and the same wishes. As Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), we are pleased to work closely with Kyrgyzstan. From now on, we are ready to do our part to improve relations between the local governments of the two countries. We wish Kyrgyzstan many years of independence. On this occasion, I congratulate the 30th anniversary of the independence of all Kyrgyz people and wish the Turkish-Kyrgyz partnership, peace and brotherhood to be forever.”
After the speeches, the supporting organizations of the program, including TDBB, were presented the 30th Anniversary badge in a memory of the night. During the program, Kyrgyz dishes were served to the guests and Kyrgyz artists performed beautiful Kyrgyz music to the guests.
