Mayor of Kara-Suu of Osh Province in Kyrgyzstan Adyl Lolobaev visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) on 20 November 2020.
Mayor of Kara-Suu Municipality Adyl Lolobaev who came to Turkey to sign the Sister City Protocol with Karasu (Sakarya) Municipality after the signing ceremony held under the coordination of TDBB in Sakarya visited TDBB in Istanbul.
Lolobaev met with the Secretary General Fahri Solak at the Union Headquarters. During the meeting Solak informed the mayor regarding TDBB activities and he posited that he is pleased that TDBB’s relations with Kyrgyzstan have significantly increased in the last years and added that, “We have carried out many successful projects in Kyrgyzstan as a result of the growing cooperation between TDBB and Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is one of the countries that we work closely within the Turkic Republics. Kyrgyzstan is also one of the 11 countries represented in the TDBB Administrative Board. We are glad that we have such cooperation. One of the concrete example of this strong cooperation is that Turkey’s Karasu Municipality and Kyrgyzstan’s Kara-Suu Municipality became the sister cities. I wish it will be beneficial for both sides that have acquired the first sister cities in each countries”.
Adyl Lolobaev also stressed out that he is also glad regarding this sister city protocol signed with Karasu Municipality under the TDBB coordination and he thanked to TDBB for their efforts. Adyl Lolobaev also expressed that it may be possible to make meetings with larger participation and discuss probable common projects can be conducted cooperatively in these meetings after the pandemic and when the situation is available to meet face to face.
