The newly elected Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ankara Adis Alagic and Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Bursa Muzaffer Çilek visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) on 1 October 2020.
During the meeting, TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak made a briefing about the projects that TDBB has implemented and also that are still under construction in Bosnia and Herzegovina and he also underlined the close cooperation between TDBB and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Solak stated that TDBB consists of members from 30 different countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most active one among them. Moreover, Bosnia is represented on TDBB Administrative Board. Solak also added that: “We have nearly 30 Turkish Class projects, Glamoç Youth Center Project, reconstruction project of the Srebrenica-Potocari Genocide Memorial Center, Martyr Memorials, Assistance with equipment, Information and Experience Sharing and Expert Training Programs, financial support for Ajvatovica Festivals and for student dormitories and all the work that we have been doing in Bosnia have fruitful results for the region. In addition, with the support of Rize Municipality, we will renovate another Turkish Class in Arnauti, Zenitsa soon. Furthermore, Doboj Friendship Bridge Project with the contribution of TDBB is one of our major ongoing projects held in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Ambassador Adis Alagic posited that: “As Bosnian Embassy, we closely follow all the works TDBB is doing and has done so far in Bosnia and Herzegovina. All of them matter for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Doboj Friendship Bridge Project specifically has great deal of importance, because the peace that has recently been successfully established in this city would be an example for the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina. For all of these, we are very grateful to TDBB and we are always ready to provide all possible support to TDBB’s work”.
