The opening ceremony of Turkish Language Class in Klokotnica Primary School in Doboj Istok city of Bosnia and Herzegovina constructed cooperatively by Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) and Tavşanlı Municipality was held on 20 December 2019.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton Fahret Brašnjić, Mayor of Tavşanlı Mustafa Güler, Mayor of Doboj Istok Kemal Bratic, Secretary General of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Fahri Solak, Deputy Mayor of Tavşanlı İsmail Aka and Manager of Klokotnica Primary School Senada Dzanic.
Minister of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton Fahret Brašnjić, in his speech at the ceremony, stated that “I am very glad to be participated in the opening ceremony of this class which will provide better education for our children. Moreover, the other thing that also makes me happy is that the friendship bridge that we have built together with our brother country Turkey. We are really appreciated for Turkey’s all efforts and contribution to Doboj Istok”.
Sister City of Doboj Istok, Tavşanlı’s Mayor Mustafa Güler expressed that “We will be always supporting our brothers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are appreciated the hospitality of our Bosnian brothers. Additionally, we are proud of knowing that students in Bosnia and Herzegovina chose Turkish Language as a second language. I am hoping that this class will be beneficial for our children”.
After the opening ceremony, the students of Klokotnica Primary School made traditional dance performances and sang Bosnian and Turkish songs.
The number of classes made by TDBB and member municipalities reached 26, after the opening of this Turkish Language Class.
