Council members of Chingeltei Municipality which is a center town of Ulaanbaatar the capital of Mongolia and also a member of Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) visited Pendik Municipality on 4 November 2019.
The visit was attended by council members of Chingeltei; Amarbayasgalan Sosorbaram, Bayarsaikhan Luvsantseden, Sainbold Nyamtsetseg, Munkhbat Bultenkhuu, Otgonsuren Sumiya, Bolormaa Chadraaball, Tsogzolmaa Baasanjargal, Otgonbaatar Demberel, Khurelbatar Vandanchimed, Munkhtur Dashzeveg, Munkhbat Damdinsuren, Nasanbat Baavgaikhuu and Amgalan Bayanmunkh.
Chingeltei and Pendik Municipalities became sister cities in 2009 and since then they have keep the cooperation between each other. Chingeltei and Pendik thanks to this visit, had a chance to boost their sister city relationship and cooperation. During the visit, Chingeltei Delegation was informed about Pendik Municipality’s recycling practices. Head of Chingeltei Delegation council member Amarbayasgalan Sosorbaram said that “Chingeltei is one of the greenest towns of Ulaanbaatar and we would like to keep it like this with the help of Pendik’s recycling experience.”
Mayor of Pendik Ahmet Cin expressed that “I would firstly like to say welcome to our guests from Chingeltei Municipality. Your country is home to the Orkhon Monuments which is the oldest Turkish inscription known in history. We give importance to the Turkish-Mongolian relations whose roots back to many centuries ago, and we do efforts on strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.” In his speech, Mayor Ahmet Cin underlined Pendik Municipality’s success on recycling practices and that they have got Zero Waste Award recently and he added that they are ready to give all supports in these areas.
The meeting ended after giving and receiving gifts. Mongolian Delegation examined the Waste Disposal Center of Pendik Municipality and got informed about the center.
Chingeltei Municipality visited TDBB
Within the framework of Turkey visit of Chingeltei Municipality, the delegation visited Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) on 5 November 2019 in the Union headquarters and they have met with TDBB Secretary General Fahri Solak. During the meeting, probable joint projects and cooperation areas were evaluated. Solak expressed that “We are glad to have a close relations that we have kept recently and historical relationship with Mongolia. We have a member from Mongolia in our Administrative Board. In recent years, we have hosted many delegations from Mongolia and we have had bilateral visits. We hope that we will have more sister cities in Mongolia and more active relations with existing sister cities”.
